I can relate to what is burning heavy on your heart. I have also wondered the same thing and have prayed the same prayer. One of the questions God has asked me over the past 25 years when I have gone through really difficult situations that have resulted in the loss of something is this: Will you trust Me with your life? or Will your heart be sore? Every time I've chosen to trust God with my life no matter what ... He has given me a deeper understanding of His love for me and His faithfulness. Imagine how difficult it must have been for John the Baptisit when he was in prison. Jesus sent word to him, "Blessed is he who is not offended in Me". WOW!
